The IWCF (International Well Control Forum) is a global organization that sets standards for training and certification in the field of oil and gas well control. It sets the standards and grants accreditation, while accredited training organizations deliver the courses and conduct the exams in accordance with IWCF standards.

Audience
Personnel occupying critical well control positions on offshore and onshore drilling facilities (Drilling: oil gas, gas storage geothermal wells).

IWCF-accredited training, delivered in accordance with the IWCF program, to prepare for assessment.
Terms & Conditions
The candidate’s employer may choose to conduct surface BOP operations or combined surface and subsea operations.
The IWCF follows the recommendations of IOGP 475 (International Association of Oil Gas Producers) regarding key competencies, levels and the inherent safety of the positions to be held.

Audience
Program designed for personnel occupying critical well control positions during well intervention operations (oil gas, gas storage geothermal wells).

IWCF-accredited training, delivered in accordance with the IWCF program, to prepare for assessment.
Mandatory and optional modules
IFP Training offers the following certification options:
- Completion operations (mandatory)
- Completion equipment (mandatory)
- Coiled tubing operations (optional)
- Cable operations (optional)
- Snubbing operations (optional)
- Subsea (optional or standalone) -> Training not provided by IFP Training
The IWCF follows the recommendations of IOGP 475 regarding the course levels that candidates must take.

- The content based on real-life well control incidents and simulation exercises
- Courses incorporate the key principles of Well Operations Crew Resource Management (WOCRM)
- Candidates must have passed the IWCF Level 4 exam at least twice before registering for the course.
- The IWCF-accredited course is delivered in accordance with the IWCF program, and prepares the candidate for assessment
- The IWCF follows the recommendations of IOGP 475 regarding course levels that candidates must complete
