Who should attend?

  • This course provides the knowledge and skills required to choose and supervise subsea well intervention.
Public :
  • Drilling or production engineers, supervisors or personnel involved in subsea completion, well intervention and workover.

Prerequisite :
  • Experience in well completion.

Course Content

  • WELL-COMPLETION EQUIPMENT - Duration : 1.75 Days

      • General overview: specifications related to subsea operations.
      • Subsea Trees HXT & VXT (components, design).
      • Subsea wellhead systems & tubing hanger.
      • Completion equipment: Functions to be carried out and corresponding equipment.
      • Surface controlled Subsurface safety valve.
      • Intervention assistance: ROV, Diver.
  • SUBSEA INTERVENTION LUBRICATOR (SIL) - Duration : 1 Day

      • Subsea pressure control equipment (Subsea Completion and Workover Risers).
      • SIL Operations.
      • Subsea Tree Interface (SIL/WCP).
      • Barrier principals (SIL)
      • Shut-in SIL.
  • SUBSEA OPEN WATER C/WOR OPERATIONS - Duration : 1 Day

      • Subsea pressure control equipment (C/WOR).
      • C/WOR operations.
      • Subsea tree interface (C/WOR/LRP).
      • Barrier principals (C/WOR)
      • Shut-in C/WOR.
  • SUBSEA LANDING STRING/SUBSEA TEST TREE (SSTT) - Duration : 1 Day

      • Subsea pressure control equipment (SSTT).
      • SSTT operations.
      • Subsea tree interface (SSTT/BOP).
      • Barrier principals (SSTT)
      • Shut-in (SSTT).
  • KNOWLEDGE ASSESSMENT

Learning Objectives

  • Attendees will be able to implement the following skills:
  • assess which equipment is required in a subsea well intervention,
  • design the corresponding well intervention procedures,
  • work on complex completion issues with specialists,
  • Integrate the safe practices in well intervention & workover,
  • define a well killing program (pumping diagram).
