PROJECT COST ESTIMATING

  • Cost structure, cost types, WBS.
  • The various methods used to estimate a project CAPEX.
  • Financial risk management, project budget impact.

COST & SCHEDULE CONTROL

3 days

  • Value engineering, economic evaluation of the project and of the alternates.
  • Cost control during the execution stages.
  • Progress control, schedule management, relationship between cost and schedule.
Ways & Means
  • Each type of estimating method is illustrated by a practical cost estimating exercise (possibly on Excel).
  • Use of Internet references (AACEI, Oil & Gas Journal, well-known software tools and databases).
  • Group discussions to share feedback experience from participants on actual projects.
  • CAPEX cost database up-to-date and realistic.
