  • Introduction to E&P workflow. Discovery. Geological reservoir characterization. Appraisal phase. Engineering studies.

BASIN ANALYSIS TO PROSPECT EVALUATION - FROM PLAY TO PROSPECT

  • Petroleum systems and basin analysis. Geoscientific tools: seismic and well data. Risk analysis and prospect evaluation, reserves estimation.

FUNDAMENTALS OF RESERVOIR ENGINEERING

5 days

  • Introduction to reservoir engineering. Rock properties. Coring practices. Fluid flow fundamentals. Reservoir fluid properties. PVT. Well testing. Volumetric evaluation of hydrocarbons in place. Drive mechanisms. Primary recovery. Secondary and tertiary recovery mechanisms (EOR).

DRILLING, COMPLETION & WELL PERFORMANCE

5 days

  • Fundamentals of drilling. Fundamentals of completion. Equipment of naturally flowing wells. Well productivity and reservoir-wellbore interface. Artificial lift. Well servicing and workover.

SURFACE PRODUCTION

5 days

  • Well effluent behavior. Need for effluent field processing. Crude oil processing. Production and injection water treatment. Gas processing and conditioning. Fundamentals of LNG. Elements of metering, material balance and production allocation.

RESERVOIR MANAGEMENT

  • Introduction to reservoir management. Reservoir monitoring: introduction. Monitoring: data acquisition. Decision processes and business aspects. Reserves. Risks and uncertainties.

HSE MANAGEMENT

  • Fundamentals of management system. Risk management. HSE culture and leadership. HSE planning and crisis management. Elements for execution and control. Audits and continuous improvement.

ENVIRONMENTAL & SOCIETAL ASPECT MANAGEMENT

  • Environmental issues related to E&P activities. Environmental Risk Assessment (ERA), legal requirements/legal standards: national, regional, international. Environmental impact assessment - Projects. Environmental risk management: from production to abandonment. Social issues related to E&P activities: risks, stakes and strategies. Participative social impact assessment as a risk management tool. Stakeholder engagement.
  • Case study: social screening of an Oil & Gas project.

E&P CHAIN VALUE MANAGEMENT

5 days

  • E&P risk dynamics. Critical decision points and value creation. Decision process from exploration block evaluation to development and production. Contracts and economic rent sharing. Field development studies and economic indicators.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

  • FEED, EPC contracts. Project control process, cost control. HSE, quality, detailed engineering. Procurement. Construction, commissioning.

CONTRACTS & PROCUREMENT

  • Different types of contracts and tendering. Risk management process. Procurement strategy and management process. Procurement systems. Change orders, claim management, closing.

LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT
